Recipe for Peach Cobbler
A peachy peach cobbler
Ingredients: 14 fresh peaches peeled and sliced 3/4 c sugar or (sucanat opt) 2 T flour or (whole wheat pastry flour op) 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 c water nutmeg butter
Topping 1/2 c flour or (whole wheat pastry flour opt) 1/2 c sugar or (sucanat opt) 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 2 T soft butter 1 egg
Directions: In 9 x 13 inch pan add: Peaches, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, vanilla and water. Turn until mixed well. Sprinkle top with nutmeg and dot with slices of butter.
Topping: In bowl mix until smooth Flour, sucanat or sugar, baking powder, salt, butter and egg. Drop mixture evenly spaced on peaches. Bake 375 degrees 30-35 minutes or until done. Serve warm with ice cream or cream (op)
